ECU Tuning

At Racing Technik we represent the official Western Cape dealership for both HPFactory and Syndicate Racing where we offer performance linked software to perform remapping of Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and modules to further improve performance and economy of your vehicle. We invested in the most up-to date diagnostic/programming equipment available and can diagnose most problems albeit mechanical or electronic. Often, especially with more recently built top-end vehicles, coding is required after the renewal or repair of certain components, this is performed to complete a repair procedure. We strive to provide only the very best ECU calibrations. Along with our custom petrol tuning platform, we offer multiple calibration settings for diesel vehicles. Most tuning files are completely undetectable by vehicle manufactures. We can optimise ECU programming for a range of 4x4 vehicles with significant performance improvement, especially Toyota and Ford diesel vehicle. Contact us for more information.

The ECU file is analysed by our system and updated to the most optimised calibration settings including optional Diesel Fuel Particulate (DPF) removal and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) deactivations, preserving your vehicle encoding and security.

Gearbox Calibration

Properly calibrated, transmission shift programs optimize drivability and ride comfort.

Gearbox calibration is used for performance upgrades optimising auto-shift bypass, clutch pack clamping pressure, torque limiter functions for increased redline and anti-lag launch control to give the ultimate driving experience. We offer a full service and diagnostic service for BMW SMG, Audi S-tronic, VW DSG and Porsche PDK. We supply and use only original oils and filters for gearboxes, manual or auto. We do memory and operational setting resets on these gearboxes when serviced. This service is also available stand alone. This is required if the gearbox is feeling "notchy" or power has been upgraded.

A transmission’s shift strategy and shift quality go a long way toward influencing vehicle drivability and ride comfort. We optimize gearshift processes by calibrating and precision-adjusting the Electronic Transmission Control (ETC) system on the basis of generally acknowledged criteria or criteria arranged with the client.

The way to optimizing shift strategy:

  • Designing shift points
  • Calibrating situation-specific driving modes: consumption-optimized, sporty, hybrid (electric), hill-climbing
  • Calibrating all transmission and special-purpose functions relating to driving strategy, such as driver-type identification.
