At Racing Technik we provide custom tuning solutions utilising our Autotuner platform (Master Unit) to perform tuning/remapping of Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to further improve performance of your vehicle. Firstly, the current ECU file is backed up with a descriptive File Naming Convention (FNC) and date stamped, then saved to our back-up server.
Custom tuning involves logging performance data of the vehicle to ensure that it the tuned file can be optimised for the required stage performance and hardware configuration.
The data logging enables us to view all major parameters that relate to engine operation which include boost pressure, injector duty cycle, engine rpm, coolant/air temperature, engine load (psi), air/fuel ratio, throttle position, vehicle speed, etcetera. Once we are satisfied with the new tuned file, it is then used to overwrite the standard ECU. In most cases we cycle through a few iterations of the tuned file until we are satisfied with the best results.
The advantage of having a custom tune over a generic flash tune, is that the tune is optimised for any desired hardware and you are not limited to stage tuning which is calibrated for specific hardware combinations only.

Gearbox calibration is used for performance upgrades optimising auto-shift bypass, clutch pack clamping pressure, torque limiter functions for increased redline and anti-lag launch control to give the ultimate driving experience. We offer a full service and diagnostic service for BMW SMG, Audi S-tronic, VW DSG and Porsche PDK. We supply and use only original oils and filters for gearboxes, manual or auto. We do memory and operational setting resets on these gearboxes when serviced. This service is also available stand alone. This is required if the gearbox is feeling “notchy” or power has been upgraded.
